蛇园是泰国特色之一，几乎所有的旅行团都有去蛇园的行程安排。但是自由行的朋友们就很少去了，作为泰国特色的项目和产业，其实还是有必要了解一下的。位于曼谷拍喃四路、朱拉隆功大学附近，就有一个被列为世界第二蛇园的场所（第一蛇园在巴西）。

这座蛇园设于曼谷的梭瓦帕王后纪念研究所，公众在此可以接触到蛇园培育的数十种有毒和无毒蛇类、观看蛇类标本、学习被蛇咬伤后的紧急处置方法，全面了解与蛇有关的知识。

游客们可以在此看到专门人员空手捉蛇、白鼠喂蛇以及抽取蛇毒的示范表演。有时则可以观看到鼬鼠与毒蛇混战的精彩场面。

介绍

蛇园（即毒蛇研究所）原为巴斯德研究院，位于拉玛四世路，为世界仅有的两大毒蛇研究所之一，也被称为“蛇医院”。它在东南亚是独一无二的，以研究毒蛇著称。工作人员收集毒蛇，取其毒液做抗毒血清，医治被毒蛇咬伤的病人。泰国被称为毒蛇的宝库，出产的蛇类非常多。研究所附设的毒蛇场内饲养着大量活生生的毒蛇，数千条毒蛇分门别类，饲养在设备良好的玻璃房里。眼镜蛇、蝮蛇、赤练蛇、金环蛇、银环蛇等数十种毒蛇，或盘成环状在地上睡眠、休息，或攀在树木上，居高临下，悠然自得。

比较适合带小朋友来玩儿，涨知识！整个场馆是从蛇的角度，去了解蛇类生活的大自然环境和一些它们的生活习性，场馆里面有个地方有一个巨型的卡通蛇，设置的是钻到蛇的大嘴巴里，探索一些蛇的食物和器官之类的，小刺激且有趣，感觉变身孙悟空咯！最后有演出可以看，推荐~

作为一个蛇主题乐园形式的景点来说，这里还是挺适合带小孩来玩的了，整个氛围就比较童话风。而且离素万那普国际机场也不远，可以考虑在离开曼谷前到这里来转一圈，另外蛇园还有个卖场，可以买买买过瘾，零食、牛奶洗面奶、蛇毒面膜、蛇药什么的都有，可以退税！

又是一处自然爱好者不得不去的地方！首先从布局上就非常考究：拟真蛇类体验馆主打互动体验，让人感受蛇类的视角；而蛇园星球又以“上帝视角”来观察蛇类；最后纳卡剧院将主旨升华到蛇文化的人文视角，通过这样三位一体的展示方式来展示、介绍蛇，非常少见且新颖。

蛇园医学

泰国红十字会是一个专门从事研究与制造治疗为毒蛇、疯狗所伤的血清的政府机构。为了日常制造血清需要，就设了一个“蛇园”，蛇园内饲养着成群的毒蛇，诸如眼镜蛇、眼镜王、大眼镜蛇、烙铁头蛇等，能致人死命的毒蛇，皆汇集在这里。

“蛇园”本来设在红十字会前边的广场上，而凡为毒蛇所伤的人，无不到此求治，因此老一辈的华侨，把红十字会管叫做“毒蛇医院”。近几年来，红十字会在各方面都有了较大的发展，在行政大楼后边另造了一个现代化设备的蛇园，再将原来的毒蛇都迁到这里。
